Dr. Victor J. Mazza, was born and raised in Nutley, New Jersey. He has been practicing Cardiology and Electrophysiology since 2010. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, and Electrophysiology. He received his medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Mazza completed his Internal Medicine residency, Chief residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. His second fellowship, in Electrophysiology, was completed at Temple University in Philadelphia.
His dual fellowships and advanced training, allow him to take care of and manage patients covering the full spectrum of cardiac conditions - general cardiology and electrophysiology (see
list of common disorders below). He has received numerous honors and awards. 2006- Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for
Humanism, as well as being selected as one of New Jersey’s and Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors. He has given oral presentations and poster presentations at local and National conferences and has authored and co-authored numerous articles in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Mazza performs numerous hospital- based procedures and surgeries (see list below). He has a strong passion for office- based management as well. He provides a warm and friendly environment and makes each patient feel like they are his only patient of the day. He holds a firm belief in patient education and their right to understand their diagnosis and available treatment options. This fosters a team approach, shared decision making, leading to a focused,
goal directed, management plan.
